Dovre Vintage 35 on Grand Designs

Many of us will have enjoyed seeing last night’s Grand Designs on Channel 4, as farmer and architect Patrick Bradley built The Grillagh Water House on his family’s farm in Northern Ireland from four shipping containers.

The star of the show, however, must surely have been the stunning Dovre Vintage 35 wood burning stove.

Situated in the main living and dining area of this ambitious build, this beautiful Vintage 35 wood burning stove in anthracite balances both retro and modern styling with its green credentials as a highly efficient wood burning stove; making it perfect for this location where contemporary design is contrasted with the glorious countryside views.

To make it possible to install a wood burning stove in this unique shipping container build, Stovax’s Professional XQ™ chimney system was used, adding an attractive focal point in its own right. More information on chimney systems can be found here.

We hope Patrick Bradley enjoys his Vintage 35 wood burning stove over the coming winter months, and if you watch the show on catch-up, be sure to look out for its appearance! If you would like to find out how a Dovre stove can fit in your grand design, visit your local Dovre retailer.
