Statement fireplaces for a traditional home

A Dovre fireplace makes a statement in the home. Here are two traditional insert fireplaces that can be combined with a canopy to create a stunning centrepiece, or built into a fireplace for a more integrated finish.

Dovre 2700 wood burner

With its cast iron construction, this wood burning fireplace is suitable for use in smaller inglenooks. There is the option to build the wood burner into an existing fireplace, or when combined with side panels and optional steel canopy from the Dovre accessories range, this wood burner can emulate the look of a traditional open fire.

Unlike the classic open fire however, this wood burner radiates heat from its cast iron panels, making it suitable for use with a room heating convection system. Warm air is ducted above the fireplace and can be distributed evenly throughout the home.

With a maximum heat output of 11kW, this Dovre wood burner offers efficient heating and boasts the option of keeping the cast iron doors closed, or open for a clear and atmospheric view of the flames.

Dovre 2400CB wood burning fireplace

The Dovre 2400CB features bi-fold doors with four windows, making for quite the statement centrepiece in the home. With elegant curves and the option to install this wood burner with or without a canopy, the Dovre 2400CB is ideal for both fireplace openings and inglenooks.

Like the 2700, this wood burning appliance is suitable for small inglenooks, and also incorporates Dovre’s state of the art Cleanburn system which introduces pre-heated combustion air into the top of the firebox. This increases heat output, and results in fewer particles exiting the chimney.

With high efficiency, this cast iron wood burner offers a generous nominal 9kW heat output.

If you like the look of either of these wood burners with canopies, get in touch with your local expert retailer who can advise on further information regarding the installation process.

I have a Dovre 2000 with canopy. I need to move it to a different location in the house. Is there an instruction pdf for removing the canopy?

Good Afternoon Callum, thank you for taking the time to send us a message. The canopy just slides on but sometimes the fitter fixes it in position with screws or fire cement/adhesive. You’ll need to have a look and see if this has been fixed to the appliance.

      I hope this helps.

      Kind Regards,
      Dan
